Girls Ride Out was formed in April 2001 when our first ride day attracted over 45 female riders. to Mt Victoria in the Blue Mountains.
Today we are a social group of women, who stay in touch primarily though email. We schedule monthly rides, organise charity events, operate a support network for female learner riders and maintenance days. We also have an active online chat group for hints, tips and organising impromptu rides + more.
GRO's aim is to provide a safe riding environment where women can feel comfortable and un-intimidated while learning to ride in a group, without feeling the need to keep up with more experienced riders.
GRO has members ranging in ages from young, to young at heart and spanning from Newcastle down to Wollongong, across to Lithgow and surrounding areas. We cater for new and relatively new riders as well as the more experienced.
